Farum Sø

I wandered over to Farum Sø (lake) today.

The recent snowfalls were still evident, though temperatures above 0 degrees C have the snow melting. The forest was still and the waters calm with many birds happily resting on the water.

Closer to shore, the ice had formed fascinating sculptures.

It was pleasant stroll in familiar surroundings, but as always there is something new to see. Being outdoors is always rewarding.

Enjoy.

  1. Grow up closes by in Farum. Nice to see the lake and surrounding covered with ice and snow 🙂

  2. Thanks Jacob, it is a nice area and only a short bus ride from my place, so I often take the time to wander around Farum Sø.

Beautiful colours and forms in your pictures ❤

    • Thanks Hanna, being in the right place at the right time helped. This location is perhaps my most favourite spot on Farum Sø, I have spent many minutes here enjoying the serenity.

      • Hanna says:

Maybe your spot it down at the end of the lake, where there is a sign warning for crocodiles 🙂
Never mind it’s a great lake with beautiful surroundings.
        All the best,
        Hanna

Lovely photo’s. Sometimes the simplest compositions are the most striking.

    • Thanks JohnBoy, my original intention was to sit next to Farum Sø and have a cup of coffee, however, I quickly recognised that there was a lot to appreciate. Perhaps the sound of a large flock of birds taking off from the water was the best moment.
